The new code holds quite a few improvements over the old code and should prove to be more stable when the final version will be released.
Some plugins may need to be updated to be compatible with the new code, this is a temporary pain.

Unfortunately the changes introduced in r896 contain some bugs that still need ironing out. We try hard to squash them, please bear with us in the mean time.

As always, your feedback is very helpful and appreciated!

Going back to SB49, again.

That problem occurs because the pmsencoder plugin that you are using is incompatible with 1.50.0-b1.

Thanks. I removed pmsencoder, but now I get the following, and PMS doesn't show up on the PS3:

What if you use HTTP engine V2 on the General Configuration tab?

*edit* And fix committed in r954. Thanks for the feedback!

Well, I switched HTTP engine V2 on, and now it works!

Brilliant, thanks for your help!

It used to be the opposite, if I recall correctly. You had to disable HTTP Engine V2 to get PMSEncoder to work. Maybe I am remembering incorrectly.

No problem. :) Seems to be running good. Lists seem to populate quick, everything plays, 'go to' works good. Other than that funky stuff going on with the #transcode# folder, it seems like a good build. At least on my setup running to a PS3.

If i goto a position in an playing movie, it takes about 1 sec for it to pick up,..that's pretty good imo ( use to be really slow on my Bravia using my Atom as server )
Starting new movie still takes about 8-10 secs.

u can speed the start time down to 3 seconds just add TranscodeFastStart=true to ure bravia.conf. :) (this really needs to be in the official bravia conf's, the ps3 has it in its one. and ive been using it for months and no probs, alot better then 10-12 seconds)

I've tried some more and as it turns ou the Bravi can't play anything off the HD but it can play network streams :)

Other renders as no problems with disc based files (that are playable). It worked well before....
