are there still problem with Vob files? I played a file and audio sync got worse. sometimes it skipped.

reverted back to SB25. All vob / DVD files play perfectly.

is there a setting I need to change?

Same problem here, I have some DVD iso's that won't stay in sync no matter what. I even get audio dropouts on the PS3 if I fast forward 10x then hit play. Subjunk builds have had lots of problems with playing ISO's, I'm getting scared to update to the latest now.

Seeking reverse/forward hasn't worked for me in any of the last builds. Pressing forward just freezes the movie and nothing happens. Even on MKV files.

Pause/unpause works fine.

This is common knowledge. FF'ing and RW'ing with PMS when transcoding or remuxing generally always causes errors. FF'ing I have only ever seen work to a maximum of 1.5 times and RW'ing never works, and ALWAYS ends up in network error.
It's been in the manual/tutorial for as long as I have been using PMS, and the behaviour has never changed on any of my various setups across many PMS versions.

In fact, it's the main reason I bought the Sony bluray remote because I kept accidentally tapping the R1, R2, L1, L2 buttons on my controller and jamming up my movies.

I've been using the Sony BR remote from day one, as cheap as it is, it's a must-own item for everyone. As far as the audio problems go, this was way worse than usual. I've found that PMS works fine if you fast forward 10x or faster and let it ride for a few seconds. If you ff too quickly then hit play it'll freak out sometimes...and yeah, 10x RW is never a good idea.

I've found that the more "heavy" the media is, the more likely it'll be to choke on FF/RW scenarios. Blu-ray rips are way worse about it than little 1gb avi or mkv files. Still, this build has been worse than usual. I've switched to the latest Sharkhunter and it's acceptable.

Well, I've had the BR remote, but I never use it as I never could remember which buttons are what (in the dark) with the dualshock I only keep forgetting which shoulder buttons is FF or next chapter, but for FF I only use the analog stick as going past 2.x will just hang the movie (at least on 720p mkv's) (but it also could be because I'm using a relative old computer (P4 3.6 HT x64)).

This is interesting, so is it truly that hard to make mencoder fast forward/reverse?

I rarely have problems with "ordinary" files, i think the above is concerning ISO's only. (and yea, some MKV files, depends on how they were made - some i can ONLY play.. no ff/rew at all.. )

There are some new bug fixes in official trunk, maybe good to implement it also to your build

With SB49 Panasonic TV can't FW/RW with supported files like AVI, MPG etc
