Redlum wrote:So here it is, finally ;) This is the release candidate for 1.21.1 on OS X. Please test it on your configurations, I'm especially interested in people with OS X 10.5 or older Intel processors. Only report problems specific to the OS X version, no general PMS bugs.

Check here for the main fixes.

http://ps3mediaserver.org/files/pms-mac ... .1-RC1.dmg (Intel only)

If no big problems show up then I will release it as the final somewhere next week.

Apologies for the delays, we now have scripts in place to keep up with the Windows releases on the same day. Enjoy :)

Redlum,

Thank you for your work. I have some problems to report:

1) Mencoder expert settings is not functioning. This command is not working anymore (now I have version 121.0)
vcodec == h264 :: -mt -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:keyint=5:vqscale=10:vqmin=2: threads=2
2) Mencoder MT sound is terrible and not in sync (about two second gap)

Regards,

Rens

Yeah, I've noticed the issues and will be working on an RC2 soon. Thanks for the reports :) Further testing is not needed.

Thanks for the update, Redlum.
As for my problem with FLAC files listing twice, someone on another forum said it's because PS3 Media Server is listing both separated FLAC files and the CUE sheets in the same folder. Is there any way to stop that behaviour?

Most of the MKV's I stream to my PS3 with the new RC version show up as "corrupted file" or "unsupported file".

Also, I still have the problem with the MKV stopping ~10sec before the end of the file which is an issue with tight edited tv shows.

Going back to 1.20.409 it works.

Cheers

Yeah, the MKV stall in the last few seconds has always plagued me too. I suspect it may be a problem with tsMuxeR or its parameters because killing tsMuxeR once playback is stalled allows the video to finish playing. If you waiting long enough (many minutes) playback also seems to continue in little spurts.

Just noticed 1.22 has been released for Windows and Linux. Any chance we'll get those revisions, too?

As I wrote in the OS tools thread, building any version for OSX is not a problem at all using the build script for OSX.
If you are comfortable compiling software, you can easily use it to build the latest and greatest version of PMS.

There is however a serious problem with building correctly working OS tools. :(
The win32 people 'cheat' by using Sherpya builds instead of unpatched MPlayer binaries. We do not have the same luxury on OSX and have to come up with our own solution. So unless we fix this problem, there is no chance to catch up with the other builds.

Thanks for the heads up, Raptor. I'm not that comfortable compiling software, especially when the tools won't work properly anyway:-)
If the old version of mencoder works, why don't we just use that in a new build?
