It seems from the log, that the server just carries on like nothing happened though.

Hi- I downloaded build 37 and been trying both SHB and SB builds on windows x86 lately...had suggestions for installation...

(1) I understand it installs all channels, perl and python and scripts..which is very convenient but it would be nice to check previous installations before installing those segments

(2) Also noticed that SHB version creates its own directory PMS-SHB in \programdata as SB took PMS...would it be possible to check existence of configuration directory? or maybe have common PMS configuration folders be decided by user as you ask memory to allocate in your installation (which is very nice feature..both installations should have this feature)

Just curious: SHB installation does not check for previous network configuration especially when its first installation of the build..does it check when I install next update build or I have to backup the folder before re-installation?

Before the move to maven/github SHB "merged" old configs with it's own. This broke with the maven introduction. I'll try and fix but maven and I are not on speaking terms.

Hey I was looking for a way to stream live video, SopCast, to my ps3 so I could have the stream on my TV.
So I found your build of PMS and found out I could even get streams like SVTPlay and TV4 etc from Sweden which is awesome.

I've been sitting and trying to fix it as best as I can for about two-three days now to get it as seamless as possible. SVTPlay works extremely smooth. Other streams are not as smooth. Sometimes episodes do not show up, sometimes they pause like 3 minutes in the video. Sometimes I just get corrupt data.
However my main problem is just that I either don't know how to properly get SopCast to show up so I can stream to the PS3, SVTPlay and such is just a minor problem at the moment. I uninstalled every PMS thing and installed your SHB build. Followed the instructions to get the channels and so on. Then I added the SopCast path as well all the way to the .exe as I read I should do.

I don't know however how my PMS.conf and WEB.conf should be configured since I am a beginner with PMs overall. I have of course searched how to do it but can't quite understand what is wrong.

PMS.conf - Should it be located in the folder "C:\Users\All Users\PMS-SHB" or the root for the PMS-SHB? It is currently located in All Users.

This seems to lack information etc. Compared to some configs I've seen around. But this is what I got with the install of 1.50.2 - SHB37 installation.

So my question is basically what I have missed doing to enable SopCast streaming. When I stream I stream the channel sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/126615 via VLC so the stream is named "http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.ps" and I can't get this, or any SopCast live streams for that matter to show up in channels. I don't know if I should edit the myp2p.ch to direct it to SopCast or something because you wrote "1) Sopcast and PPLive are not fixed yet. You need to add those manually." But I have no clue where to do that if that is necessary.

Appreciate your help. And I hope I have given enough information to help you understand what I might've done wrong.

Firstly, I'd just like to thank you for the effort that you've put into this!

I don't know if I should post here or in the channels plugin thread. I'm just trying to watch live sport on the ps3 and found this build when searching how to watch wiziwig on the ps3. I think you'd posted about your build in there. Since then I have learned about rtmpdump and using rtmpGUI I have installed that on my PC and can watch the feeds through vlc player.

I have updated to your latest version but I cannot watch Channels. They show up but I just get the data is corrupt message. I managed to stream one movie before Cinavia kicked in but at least it proved that it is working in some format. I note that you have said I need to provide the path to rtmpdump.exe but when I click on Channels button in General Configuration it doesn't ask for that path so I'm guessing that may be a part of my problem.

I've searched everywhere on how to get it working but there are 127 pages on the channels thread and 46 on here so I could really use a little help in pointing me in the right direction. I have used ps3ms to watch downloaded movies etc for the last 18 months but this is proving a little more difficult than I'd first thought.

st3v3y - If you use SHB the rtmpdump.path should be set already. If it isn't look in your PMS.conf (where that file is found by looking in the traces tab and almost at top look for "Profile path: C:\ProgramData\PMS-SHB"\PMS.conf). Add this line to that file (if it is missing or looks weird):

rtmpdump.path = extras\\bin\\rtmpdump.exe

OK I've now done a new install after removing all old files and folders. On the new install I have added the rmtpdump.path as above as it wasn't there. Additional, I've had to remove the jumpy.jar from plugins as this was causing an error when restarting ps3ms. I can see all of the channels on the ps3 now that I have copied them from the extras folder into the channels folder. I can see thumbnails but when I try to play anything I get the data is corrupted message.

If you need me to try and play something and post the logs then just let me know. Everything else works fine, I can watch downloaded movies and play music through your build but it is just this channels issue now.

Rerun the install program you'll be prompted for how much memory you wan't to give to java. Deafult is 768

I've gained a greater understanding of how this works today and I think that my PMS.conf is maybe missing some paths. I noticed you posted a few lines to add to the file on the channels thread but doing that just gives me an error. By looking at those extra lines, I can see that there are certain things missing so would it help if you saw my PMS.conf file? I've been at this all day so I'm going to take a break from it now but I'll check back in later or tomorrow. Thanks.
