PS3 Media Server

Hi Sharkhunter,
I have downloaded and installed the Build 43, and after a fair amount of tinkering around (adding .ch files etc), then I my ps3 is seeing the mediaserver, and I can go into SVT, kanal5, and browse around the list of programs. But I have never managed to get it to actually show anything. mencoder.exe and ffmpeg.exe always "has a return code of 1" and the PS3 shows "Corrupted Data". Can you help me to understand what is going wrong?

This is a clean install of the build 43. I am reasonably data-savvy, but this is beyond my ability to guess/work-out what is going wrong.

I just found that the .ch files are in extras/channels rather than plugins/channels (which the default path in the channels configuration points to), so simply repointing the channels configuration to the correct path finds all the various "channels". Nonetheless, I can browse all of them (I have tried all of them), but not a single program of video can I get on the screen. Corrupted data always on the PS3.

I have the exact same issue.

I have mapped all paths correctly, all plug ins load with no errors. I can browse to the file and do see a thumbnail. But the file shows the time of 9:59:59 and when I attempt to play the file I get the data corrupted message.

I get in the trace:

I tried replacing the ffmpeg.exe with a newer version, it made no difference.

Is there anyway someone can provide a very basic step-by-step tutorial showing how to get navi-x to work with this? Ive read through this thread, I read the wiki, I've tried to google, but there is always a point where the writer starts discussing things in a way that assumes the reader understands certain concepts. The problem is I am a total noob at all this and not very computer savvy so all of it goes above my head.

I basically just downloaded this build and installed it. It shows up on my ps3 but there is nothing in the channel folder. I also downloaded the zip file from navi-x, but I have no idea what I am supposed to do with it.

I know its very annoying but can anyone help a brother out?

So I moved my channel link to extras folder, I am able to get it to connect on my PS3, however I am also in the boat of data corruption when trying to play most videos. I am however able to watch tv and able to view some movies and tv shows in navi - x. For the most part though, 95% of the time I get a data corruption and the same error most of you guys have gotten. I am running Build 42 so was wondering if anyone has gotten past the data corruption yet?

I haven't been able to get past it as of yet. The non- SharkHunter build is doing this as well. I get ffmpeg error code 1. Despite trying older ffmpegs from other versions, I still get the error as well as data corruption. I have posted logs, so hopefully this will be fixed soon. It's good to know I'm not the only one with this issue.

This build will fall a sleep in favor of UMS
Those of you wh has problems SHB43 worked last time I checked and if your channels folder is empty look into the logs and settings of channels and make sure your channels path is correct. It might have change (I might have forgotten something as well) but make sure that teh channels path is extras\\channels.
data corruption can mean the following:
1) You are using PS3 and hit the folder limit
2) The link you're following is not extractable for channels. This includes dead (removed) links.
3) The Pmsencoder/mencoder/ffmpeg can't play this link.
4) Something changed at the file host and scripts have not been updated.
