OK hopefully no spammers now. Of course human spammers can still join, but the bots will be blocked now.

Hard to tell. The messages seem automated, but I guess the accounts are created manually and fed to a spambot. Nothing much we can do about that, I guess.
I've killed a couple accounts plus their messages in the past weeks (in fact, banned one just a moment ago).

I think the accounts would be created manually, I'm not aware of any bots that can get around the anti-spam technique that I used. I could extend the code to work on every form instead of just the registration form, but that will take some time to do so I don't know when I could do it

Today I came across a hard to detect form of spam...
The message blends in in the conversation:

A 400 MB buffer, and no memory dump issue, conversion or remuxing, only two films, actually lost during playback buffer dry out the hundreds.

I am willing to bet, unless you have some strange settings out of the woods, your CPU / server setup is not the cause. You have the processing power as much better than my server.

I want to believe it's server, I can do something, but I really do not know If you can test, while another server stuttering the same file.

Pretty well generated responses. Not entirely on topic, but close enough to fool people.
But on close inspection, the poster had a subtle advertising link in the smallprint of his signature:

It's best to remove them all because spammers attract eachother; they see that others have had success spamming and join in

Those days our favourite spammers are amazingly active again. What about adding a rule that new users aren't allowed to post links to external sites?
