New Plugin for webstreaming hosts

Postby venraij » Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:16 am

Sites like movie2k.com allows to watch a large collection of movies online. Since many of the movies are store at divx hosters they can be streamed to the renderer without the need of downloading first or transcoding.
I have implemented a basic plugin for that. Is anyone interessted in such a plugin?

It works for me but is still running in debug mode in my IDE. I can package the code and upload it, but is still some work:
- only one provider is supported right now (easy to enhance)
- only divx hosters are supported right now and only some robot tests are worked around.
- only basic thumbnail support
- no renderer specifc supprt and configs yet
- no search functionality yet
etc.

I'd be interested in having a look.

Not sure if I could offer much help though, so if it's still in Alpha, I'm going to be pretty clueless.

Webstreaming host support would be the most usefull type of plugin I guess.
I'd like to help enhance/test it.

I'd be in for testing as well.

Then I am trying to bundle it in a plugin, there are some third-party libraries that I am using like apache http client and jericho http parser. I will post the results here when I am done...
