Can Plugins run on the stable NON beta version?

Hey I'm a total newbie and I just got my server streaming all nice. If I want to use any of the plugins do I have to download a beta version? I've done some research and they always mention a plugin folder in the directory. PS3MS version 1.10.51 doesn't have a plugins folder in the directory. Am I missing something?Is there a VERY VERY basic how to tutorial?
I'm aware of the one in the sticky post but I find that it is not that helpful as it's just links to other posts. I'm talking about a step by step tutorial.

Yes, proper plugin support was added after the last official release, although r410 is actually pretty stable.
The how to section of the first post in the tutorial thread contains some links to some pretty detailed tutorials - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3507

I've looked in all the tutorial topics and I can't find it. Where is the plugin folder located in the directory for version 1.10.51? Is it different if you're running WIndows 7 like I am? When I use windows explorer and look into all the directory files for PS3MS there is no folder listed as "plugins"

1.10.51 is the last official release, so it does not have plugin support...
Look at the beta builds section of the forum.
