No luck.

PMSEncoder isn't disabled in that debug.log (you need to move it out of the plugins directory).

If it doesn't work with FFmpeg Web Video or VLC Web Video, then it must be a PMS/Xbox issue. I don't have access to an Xbox so there's not a lot more I can suggest.

I'm really sorry to ask, but is their any way someone could walk me through getting couch tuner [http://www.couchtuner.eu/tv-streaming/] to work with PMSE. I've been looking over the instructions on PMSE and it's all Greek to me. Thee best i got was getting to the PMS file in program data.

Hi. I am having a bit of trouble with PMSEncoder at the moment. It causes PS3 Media Server to completely halt without event opening the GUI. No debug log, nothing. Ive confirmed I have the latest version of PMS, and Java. I followed the FAQ and downloaded the most recent snapshot build and tried that. Unfortunately no luck. Here is the return when I run this command from the app directory.

COMMAND:
Code: Select all
 ./PMS.sh > output.txt 2>&1

RESPONSE:
Code: Select all
./PMS.sh: line 46: /Applications/PS3 Media Server.app/Contents/PlugIns/pmsencoder-2.0.0-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar/Contents/Home/bin/java: Not a directory

Any ideas? I perplexed.

  1. Completely uninstall PMS
  2. Reinstall PMS
  3. Save the jar file to the plugins directory:

Code: Select all
/Applications/PS3 Media Server.app/Contents/Resources/Java/plugins

I'm having trouble getting PMS to work with youtube-dl with a specific videofeed. The feed technically works without youtube-dl (though it only plays a couple seconds at a time before pausing for a few seconds to, I assume, buffer), but with youtube-dl I'm getting a "content cannot be played" error.

debug.log
PMS.conf
pmsencoder.log

And the WEB.conf entry for the feed is "videofeed.TGWTG=http://blip.tv/OLPresents/rss?s=feed". Any help you could give me would be appreciated!

If you're using youtube-dl, you'll need to convert that MRSS (Media RSS) feed to a plain RSS feed. You can do that by entering the feed URL here and copying the "Get as RSS" URL e.g.:

Code: Select all
videofeed.Web,Obscurus Lupa Presents=http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=e597e2d830980e44d1d91f63cba159bb&_render=rss&mrss=http%3A%2F%2Fblip.tv%2FOLPresents%2Frss
