some more info on the not functioning webradio; perhaps this helps in finding the solution.

VLC player itself works fine, also with some webradio's.

Some lines from the traces file: a lot of them have "Content is not allowed in trailing section"

The log output you provided points to a website of video feeds, not audio feeds. If you [view source] of that page, you will many lines that look like this:

<enclosure url="http://podcast.scifitv.fr/scitronic14.mp4" length="1024" type="video/mp4" />

MP4 are video files and they seem to be Video Game trailers when I play them.

If you had a specific web radio address that was not working, I would take a look at it to see if I can figure it out.

o sorry, I took the wrong part of the traces file I also tried some webvideo's. I'll post another part hopefully this evening. My daughter is now watching a movie, so I can't use the webradio part now :-) Thanks in advance for wanting to take a look!

......

Edit:

http://www.garnierstreamingmedia.com/as ... stream=205 does work in VLC player, but doesn't show up in the list on the TV: "no playable content" (Or similar, it's in dutch).
It is found in the web.conf though.
Code: Select all
audiostream.World-Radio,Listings by Country,N,Netherlands=Arrow Classic Rock - www.arrow.nl,http://www.garnierstreamingmedia.com/asx/streamerswitch.asp?stream=205

I took at look at your URL. The reason is simple. It isn't a link to a music stream. Instead it is a link to a playlist that contains data that points to where the real stream is located. I already built support for playlists into ps3-radio.exe but it did not recognize that URL as a playlist. I have slightly updated my program to check any URL containing "/ASX" as if it was a playlist. I re-ran ps3-radio and "Arrow Classic Radio" now plays ok on my PS3.

Here is a shortcut method to get you going:
1. Download and extract the latest zip.
2. Delete World-Radio.dat
3. run Steps 2 & 3
Note: Normally World-Radio.dat is created as part of Step1 but Step2 is smart enough to realize that 1 file is missing and will rebuilt it without re-downloading the 500+ webpages.

Let me know if this works for you!

Hi ps3-radio,

THANKS! I'm running step 2 now (26%), but I have to leave before it's finished. So I won't be able to test it before this evening. Off course I'll let you know the results.

Back home, and tested while eating my diner on the couch.

sorry, still "no items to display" (also temporarily set language to English on the TV to get the correct text).

Is there any way to modify and change the WEB.conf file to show the exact same Internet Radio Stations as Itunes.

I just want to be able to sort by Genres in the same manner as itunes.

I don't want to sort by Countries.

Any easy workaround?

Cheers

It currently already shows 'Listings by Genres' and then by country. Remember, iTunes only has a few dozen as compared to the several thousand with ps3radio/World Radio. If I didn't sub-divide the entries, it would be one extremely long screenful!

Minor update: still no results though.
I Changed firmware 1.538EA to 1.6000 on the Bravia TV. Made no difference for the worldradio though.

The updates are not meant to help with Sony TVs. Sorry. That problem seems to be a basic problem between PS3MS and the TV. If you can tell me that ANY radio stations work and can tell me what your conf file looks like to make it work, I can imitate that. All of my recent modifications increase the number of playable stations on supported equipment.
