Could you explain that again, in step by step detail? I'm a Vista user and I want to add the webcodes to whatever site I want, so please teach me how.

I tried putting it into the web.conf and it didn't show up, although neither is anything that was put into the web.conf by default.

The .asx link just gives you a playlist for WMP. If you download the playlist and look at it with notepad you will find the real stream address.
Which is "mms://wm.24seven.fm/ssthi" btw.

Just thought I would mention that you can retrieve the "actual" stream address via WinAMP too... FILE --> View file info... --> The "filename" at the top is what you want.

Also worth noting that if you are editing WEB.conf via Vista then you cannot save your new file directly to the folder, just save it to your documents and manually move it using explorer. Also to be aware, if you have edited via notepad then it is likely that when you save your renamed file it will append ".txt" on the end... so your new file will be something like "WEB2.conf.txt"... so open up a command prompt as administrator and manually locate your file and rename directly. Anyone got a better method for renaming files?

"cd.." will take you back one directory - keep doing it until you get to root C:
"cd program files"
"cd ps3 media server"
"rename WEB2.conf.txt WEB2.conf"
"exit"

Unfortunately the mms://wm.24seven.fm/ssthi link isn't working either...any other ideas?

If you quote the file, then windows will not try to be clever: enter "WEB.conf" with the double quotes and you dont get an extra extension. Never used vista though, so HTH ;)

Again, I'm new to this whole video stream thing, and I would appreciate someone teaching me how to look up the code for each site.

At the very least, I request video streams for the following:

Gametrailers (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, User Movies, and Screw Attack), all set to HD by default when available.

Hulu (also in HD)

Live Japanese TV channels

Please help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am for myself very interested in Live Japanese TV channels.

Could you please tell me, what kind of channels and where I can get them?

Thanks a lot !

Here's an example. Say I want to put all the HD trailers from Gametrailers on the media server. They're on this site.

http://www.gametrailers.com/gthd.php#Content

How would I find out the webcode for this? And how does it go on the notepad?

Please help me out. I at least want to sort out the Gametrailers categories by folders.

Hi,

Is there any way to add feeds that do not contain "media files" within the XML, but instead just links to pages containing a video?

Would it be possible to code something that can detect the media file on the linked pages and transcode the source video while ignoring the page itself?

Thanks
