Folder refresh/relaod/rebuild

Postby genie » Fri Feb 25, 2011 3:58 am

PS3 is cashing the folders that you've been through.
Is it possible to force PS3 to rend a request to redisplay the folder every time you get into the same folder?

I need to execute a series of commands on the server when entering into a folder on the PS3, if PS3 doesn't send the request I don't know when to run the command and what command to run.

In the server code the refreshChildren() method is being called every time you re-enter a folder. That's where new files that might have been added to a folder while pms and the ps3 was running get added to the end of the list. This is an method declared in DLNAResource, being overridden by most classes extending DLNAResource
If you always wanted to have your most recent videos at the top of the folder in the ps3 or wished you could group all videos with the same genre in one folder, have a look at pms-mlx
